"What’s wrong with these people? Can’t they be happy with what they get? They’re getting free money from the government and they complain about $30. Someone got to do their work for them. Then fix up their stuff up. So stuff them. They should be thankful for what they are getting."
"……..you have been, as well as Joseph, the best tax accountants we have ever had. I felt quite angry to think that people were giving you a hard time. What do they expect- that you do things for nothing? We get that all the time as teachers; the time we spend out of school contacting parents, marking and doing programs takes forever- plus all the rubbish we get…cheers".
"As usual, the newsletter had something for everyone and everything for me! Love your work."
"30 bucks. That’s it. I’m gunna jump off the next bridge I come to. Just keep doing a good job…"
"Wow you certainly had some GOOD, BAD and the Ugly’s!! I could not believe what some people had written to you all over $30-00…They should all think themselves damn lucky on getting even the $870 after your $30-00 deduction as a friend of mine had been charged $45-00 and at the end of the day Mr Rudd did not have to even arrange the hand out to all as we have gone by without it before. So what is the big fuss over $30-00 to everyone…I feel those who are kicking up a stink over the $30-00 are just greedy creatures and if they have moved on elsewhere, well bloody good luck to them and bet they don’t get back as much as a good return at the end of the Financial Year with someone else as they did with your company or even the good service. At the end of the day it’s their loss not yours.
I am happy with what we got, as it was, its a BONUS for us all. Keep up the good work and see you in a few month’s time."
"…..Was just reading through the Taxwise Weekly Mail and can’t really see what the fuss over the $30 is all about. Was just wondering if any of the people "carrying on" would work for free? Bet they wouldn’t. So why should you? In the end it will cost them a lot more than $30!
We have never been so well off since using you. I have learnt with dealing with the public over the years, if they go crook at you over something so small, it was probably nothing you did. They probably had a fight with someone else, but you just copped it instead. I had a boss like that once. The days we got in trouble for the silliest things, were the days he and his Mrs weren’t speaking to each other.
In other words don’t take any of this personally.
"
"…..The reason I am writing to you now is because I received my economic stimulus money from you today only to find that you had taken $30 of that money because of the immeasurable amount of work that it had caused your company….I’m not sure about the way your trust account works but it is definately(sic) not a difficult task to transfer money from account to account via the internet these days. Oh and by the way its absolutely free….(Warren: Which Bank?) In my estimation if you had about 1000 cheques sent to your trust account like you said then you have made a tidy $30,000 for not much work at all. Kevin Rudd has also made statements to the press about his disgust at the tax accountants that are charging the australian public for transferring their cheques to them as he stated that the stimulus package was not mean’t to be used by private institutions for their own profit….my mother and father’s accountant (who is based in Sydney NSW) transferred their money to them last week by the way and he didn’t charge them any fee for that service despite the fact that he is on the other side of the state!…" (Warren: This message was embodied in a message criticising everything we had done).
"Wonderful! That will pay a bit off the Aussie credit card. Thanks and take care."
"Wow! Some people are so rude! I had no idea. I think you are the best tax agent ever! My husband and I sing your praises to everyone who ever mentions tax and my sister and brother in law and parents both do their tax through your company as a result.
I often don’t get time to read your bulletin but I make an effort to whenever something "big" is happening. Your e-mail was clear and D…and I both rang the tax department as you suggested. Funnily enough it all worked out just as you said.
I teach 15 year olds for a living and the biggest problem we have is with them not listening to, reading or following instructions….Obviously they must learn this from their parents!
Keep up the good work and try not to let the rude comments from ignorant customers get to you; there are plenty of others who appreciate all that you do."
"Thanks Warren, that is soo exciting, we thought we had been forgotten!!"
" Are we going to be charged a FEE for this transaction?"
"You don’t understand how happy this news makes me after trying to find a job for the last 3 weeks!"
"Just a quick ‘thank you’ for the transfer into my account of the tax bonus."
"I would like to take this moment to say a big thank you. This is the best postion money wise I have been in years. Both the kids and myself can’t stop smiling, and with the burden of my tax done, I sleep easy at night."
"Also I read your newsletter the other week about the fee that you are charging for the Rudd payment etc. I have no problems with that fee at all. I was told about it when I did my tax return and am happy for you to take that fee out of my $900.00. You and the Tax Wise Team have been great over the years and I appreciate your hard work and efforts. You make things stress free for me when it comes to my tax return, I always get a nice sum back and I would recommend your services to anyone wanting professional and efficient Tax Accountants. People who complain about a fee of $30.00 (when the money is free anyway!!!!!) have no idea the costs involved in running a business.
Thank you for letting me know about my payment."
"With all these $30′s you’re making, when you going to retire? Only joking mate, you’re still my top tax guy, and if it only cost me $30 for your services that have saved me hundreds, well I gladly would pay it over. Anyway, just to let you know I got both mine and T….’s, in my account, not sure I was due it, with the ABN and all, so will spend / save it wisely."
